Blaise

Blaise is the hidden reserve of the hardtechno world's new generation. His relationship with music has been close since early childhood, and it became important to him because whenever he listened to music, he felt that it made him whole — without it, an unfilled void would gape in his life, as he puts it himself.

About 15 years ago, in the early 2010s, he developed a more serious connection to techno and its harder subgenre: hardtechno. Unfortunately, the hard beats that meant so much to him didn't find understanding ears among his circle of friends, so for years he threw himself, little by little and persistently, on his own, ever deeper into the style's past and present.

Years later, in 2023, he decided to travel to attend his first hardtechno event — Dark Maraton XII, held at Club D9 — to see Reset perform, which turned out to be a turning point in his life: a whole new world opened up before him, one he knew for certain was the direction he wanted to head in.

By this point, Blaise's passion for hardtechno had already led him to collect a significant number of vinyl records — iconic works, now regarded as relics, from the legends who laid the foundations of the style — so it was only natural for him to learn how to mix them together as well. His enthusiasm held strong over the long stretch it took to save up for his first turntables, as he was deeply interested in the technical details of mixing, which he was eager to learn. This also became another opportunity for him to elevate not only his skills but also his connection to the genre.

“I love good, banging, thundering hardtechno — that truly distinctive sound that used to be more characteristic of the style. Hard-hitting, with short breakdowns and insane melodies!”

— Blaise

His style leans more toward the original sound of around 155 BPM, though if the night calls for it, he's not afraid to push it up by ten. His sets are defined by a duality of seriousness and freewheeling, driving energy, through which he becomes one with the crowd.

In his mixes, he loves to convey the perspective the genre represents to him, to connect with the community, and to preserve the roots of the style in a modern guise.
